This Japanese Uji matcha cake or green tea cake is made with matcha powder, a bright green powder made in Japan from finely ground green tea leaves. This matcha cake or green tea cake is a light and fluffy sponge cake flavored with matcha power, aka green tea powder. It's a delicious Japanese cake that soft, fluffy, and light as air!
At Blissful Moon Bakery, we uses premium matcha powder tea and matcha has a uniquely earthy flavor. It’s rich and smooth, addictively delicious. The best decadent combination would be to pair up with Japanese strawberries. We hand-picked these fresh and lovely strawberries from scratch and added them to the frosting of this green tea cake. We vowed all matcha lovers would love this cake!
